The CDCP is a federally delivered public health plan administered by Health Canada that uses Sun Life to act as the service provider.
This dental benefit is for eligible Canadian residents who:
do not have dental insurance.
have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000.
are a Canadian resident.
filed their tax return in the previous year.

Once approved, you will receive a Sun Life Dental Benefit Card and your personal letter that explains the percentage amount that the CDCP will cover based on the CDCP’s independent fee guide. The CDCP does not provide free dental care; it covers a percentage of the cost of your dental care, and patients are required to pay the balance owing. We can send in an estimate to SunLife to determine your exact costs before you start so that there are no surprises.
